Jack Harlow's song "Lovin' on me" samples "Whatever," a 1995 R&B hit by Delbert "Cadillac Dale" Greer from Detroit. Harlow's team approached Dale for his permission to use the sample. Dale approved and was later pleasantly surprised at how his vocals were incorporated. The two artists met during the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Day game, where Harlow performed the song. The song may now be breaking into European markets.
